Modi at a high-level meeting on 'Yas'
New Delhi: The second cyclone of the year 'Yaas' is going to hit the coastal area of the Bay of Bengal on the 28th. Everyone from the state to the center is working hard to deal with this terrible cyclone. This time Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to sit in a high level meeting to deal with this cyclone. Home Minister Amit Shah and other ministers will be present.
The meeting of Prime Minister Modi will be held at 11 am. Senior officials of the National Disaster Management Authority, secretaries of telecom, power, aviation and finance ministries will be present.
Already the government of Odisha has issued a high alert in the coastal districts. Besides, National Disaster Management Team has been deployed in West Bengal and Odisha. Ordinary people are being evacuated from the Coastal Area. Odisha Chief Minister Navin Pattyanayek has instructed officials to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus due to overcrowding in cyclone shelters.
The meteorological office (IMD) said the low pressure was created on the morning of May 22. It is gradually moving north and northwest. That depression will turn into a cyclone on May 24 and within 24 hours it will become a 'very severe' cyclone.On the evening of the 25th, the maximum wind speed in the area will be 70 km. On the morning of the 26th, the storm will gradually increase its speed towards the coasts of Bengal and Orissa.
As a precautionary measure, several long-distance special trains have been canceled (Train Cancel) Eastern Rail. It is learned that 9 long distance trains have been canceled between 25th and 30th.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has held a high-level meeting against Yas. Top officials of the administration, district magistrates and police superintendents were present at the meeting on Saturday. After the meeting, Mamata Banerjee wrote on Twitter that officials had been instructed to plan in advance to deal with the storm quickly.
